Somasync International fills a critical gap in the approach of western medicine to fully recover from neuromuscular conditions.

Have you reached a plateau with various endeavours you have pursued in your life but cannot seem to get over the hump? Whether you are an elite athlete, high caliber performer or just like to do different things for fun wouldn't it be great to find a way to get over the plateau?
I have experienced the plateau with many pursuits from the physical like skiing and horse riding to the intellectual. I exercised and kept my body in great shape and I tried mind-based approaches like meditation and visualization but I could never get beyond the limitations of my body or the limits of my mind.
It was not until I had an injury and constant pain that no standard medical approach could alleviate that I was compelled to change how I focused on my body for healing. I had to stop making my body move without a sense of what it feels like and that informed my brain of what to change to overcome the constant pain. I discovered the central foundation to optimal movement is balance within it. I was taught that good balance was to stand up straight, put my shoulders back and suck in my gut. That may work for a soldier standing at attention and not moving (although I doubt it) but it does not allow for balanced, centered movement. Once I tapped into the part of my brain that controlled movement and allowed my structure to align itself for balance my life really changed! What I did not anticipate is that as my body became pain-free and moved better my mind started to work better!
It has been many years of study to learn how our body is designed to move, what constitutes optimal balance in movement and how to most effectively help other people learn in a short amount of time what has taken me years to figure out! Our brain and nervous system provide us incredible power to train ourselves for improvement in virtually any human endeavour but few of us know how to access that part of our brain!
Science and medicine treat the body like a machine with a set of components that eventually break down and need replacement parts. The more we use it the more likely it will break down, however in reality the more we use the body the stronger and healthier it gets and the less likely it is to break down - except if we misuse it! The less we use a machine the more pristine it is, the less we move in our body the more atrophied and weaker it is! Your brain knows how to organize you for optimal movement, but you must learn to feel and respond to the messages from your brain to allow your body to align itself for balance.
People are beginning to realize that we need to change our approach toward our body, as evidenced by the following articles. What is not addressed is how exactly we need to re-focus our attention. At Somasync International we guide you through the process of learning to change how you focus on your body as a vehicle to moving beyond your limitations so that you excel in any endeavour you choose!
